Welcome to Kanab City Cemetery
The Entrance Gates |
Boulevard of Flag Poles lining the main road of the Cemetery |
the earth" --Abraham Lincoln
Lamb on a mountain. It's easy to spot the grave of a child, because most of them have a lamb. |
but were is the name???
Oh! There it is, that's cool!
Very cool gazebo.
A grave stone that broke and got glued back together.
This is a very pretty sun flower, decor piece that was behind a grave.
Gazing over the Kanab cemetery.
Front gates.
now to tell you guys one more story.
This is where the first cemetery in Kanab was, (on the north end of the town), but they decided to move it so they could build houses. A man was hired to move all the bodies to where the cemetery is now, and rebury them, but one day while the man was still moving the body's he died. Most believe that because he was disturbing the dead, is the reason why he died. Here's a tip, if you plan on living for 70 more years, DON'T MESS WITH THE DEAD THEY WILL KILL YOU!!!!!!!
One more look at the cemetery before we leave.
Good bye Kanab cemetery see you next time.
Hope you have enjoyed this article.

welcome
Hey, my name's Morticia and welcome to Beyond the Gates. I have just started this blog. I will add some postings soon so I can get this thing going on its feet!!!
Here is a little preview of what this blog is all about, so you know what to expect in a few days. A world of info., pics., and my insight's on one thing......Death.... and everything to do with it. Cemeteries, Mortician's work, how other cultures celebrate death, etc. Once a month I plan to travel away from home to research NEW stuff for you! Hopefully, I will get a video taped tour, from a Mortician about their work. A video tour of a casket shop where coffins are made. We will explore Mexico's "Day of the Dead," and the traditions of my favorite places in the world like Japan, Germany, etc., etc.
I hope you are as exited as I am! I also hope you have enjoyed this first post, and will see you in the future!!!!
If there is any place/thing you would like to see on this blog, please feel free to e-mail me, I will try to make whatever HAPPEN!!!!!
Love Morticia
